[And he is waiting, but he's in no shape to start drinking, as he hasn't bothered to ditch the tactical gear. Zer0 comes in under his estimated arrival time, but 76 still looks antsy, like there's something else he needs to check on. When he sees his teammate, however, he perks up and nods in acknowledgement.
[Because 76 is definitely in agreement that this whole thing is kind of a Mess, but obviously Zer0 is here for a reason. Something happened that he needs to know about, and he leans forward a little on the table, lowering his voice.]
[Another quick glance around the place. Zer0 had made certain that he wasn't followed here, but one can never be too cautious. Since the rest of the bar seems distracted by their own bar things, Zer0 pulls his TAB out, fiddling with it a bit before setting it on the table facing 76. There's a video pulled up, ready to play. He hasn't started it yet, but he's got the volume turned down since they're kind of in a bar and all.]
/ Watch, and you'll see what I mean / By "complicated".
[He's already received a recounting of the situation from Ana, almost immediately after her release from decontamination, but seeing it all on video is another thing entirely. He leans in to see the TAB, watching the entirety of the encounter with a frown.
It's not visible, of course, but his eyebrows furrow right at the top of his visor, the expression only deepening the more he watches. When it ends, he sits back a little in his chair and exhales.]
[76 spares a glance around the bar, just to make sure that no one is paying attention to them. He leans in.]
You weren’t there with us, when we crashed on the planet where the Midway Hub was supposed to be. By the time we got there, the Savrii had killed everyone inside to take back their Ingress tech. Only reason we got to come live is because we explained to them we weren’t responsible for stealing the Moira.
[Suffice to say, he doesn’t trust their hosts in the least—but can he trust some kind of biohazardous flesh-monster, even if it takes a humanoid shape? Still, there’s clearly something about this that the Savrii didn’t want getting out.]
[Zer0 had heard about the Moira before, but this was the first he'd heard of the Midway Hub. He still isn't so sure if he trusts the biohazard goop child either, but the more he hears about the Savrii, the less inclined he is to trust them at all. Not that he did before, but he also hadn't really given a shit. Now, he was invested.]
What's so important / About all this Ingress tech / That they'd kill for it?
[He's mostly just wondering out loud, 76 probably doesn't know the answer to that any better than he does.]
The pubic should know / But, we need more info first. / Need to be certain.
[76 is considering a similar dilemma—faced with two potentially untrustworthy entities, where do they turn? The frown is hidden behind his mask, but certainly evident in his voice.]
Don’t want anyone else to have it, I guess.
[Maintain some kind of monopoly on it, he guesses, though since they don’t charge for its use, 76 imagines the Savrii are just control freaks. True, this kind of tech in the wrong hands could be dangerous, but did that really justify the massacre he saw on the Midway Hub?
Zer0 was right when he said that everything was about to get complicated.]
Agreed. Won’t do any good if we run out there with the evidence we have right now.
[It’s simply not enough. Too easily twisted.]
so. "pubic" is supposed to be "public". I mean I guess the pubics should know too.
Yeah, good luck. I don’t think anyone knows who runs this place.
[There’s no real law enforcement, and hell if he knows what the governmental structure is. He’s not discounting the possibility of some shadowy dictator, of course, but whoever they are, they’re good at obfuscating themselves and how they operate.]
A welcome challenge. / If such a person exists, / They'll be discovered.
[There's always somebody in charge, some asshole that all the lesser assholes report to. Maybe whoever is in charge is actually a bunch of assholes on some sort of big secret asshole committee. The possibilities are endless.]
[Easier said than done, of course, but it's what they need to be doing. He can't sit around and wait and trust that eventually they'll all be sent home. Zer0 seems to be having similar thoughts.]
You should let me know if you find anything else. I'll keep my ear to the ground.
[Zer0 wasn't really even sure where to start, but he was pretty good at improvising. He'd figure something out. Probably something that didn't involve sniping heads, but no promises.]
[Zer0 isn't taking his mask off either, but he does display a holographic ":)" in front of it. Go teamwork. He also takes a moment to send 75 a copy of that creepyass video.]
[Things were about to get super busy, and probably even more complicated than they already were. Zer0 nods in agreement and slides out of his seat. Good talk lads]
Until next time.
[And if that's that, he's gonna scoot his butt towards the exit.]

[And he's forwarding the location of what is clearly a slightly seedy bar, because that's definitely where a talk like this should be happening.]
Meet you there.

The situation / Has gotten complicated. / More so than before.

Well, that's. Something.

It was very... vague. / Said it wanted to warn us, / That "they" were lying.
[He shrugs, leaning back in his seat and crossing his arms.]
What does this all mean? / Someone is hiding something. / The question is, who?

[He's not about to take his mask off to drink to this apparent partnership, but the sentiment is there.]
Might be a good idea. Send it to my TAB.

[Unless Zer0 has anything else to share. 76 checks his TAB for the video once it's sent over, and he nods affirmatively.]
