[She has absolutely no idea what a flamethrower is, but it sounds like it would be incredibly useful right about now. She makes a note to issue future inquiries.
At his implied question, she shakes her head.]
Much to my dismay, no. [But let's be real. Midna's not the sort to do her own dirty work most of the time, so even if she did, she might not have admitted she could. First impressions be damned.]
Although... And this might not work, whatever you've got there— [As Midna knows nothing about guns.] —I may be able to spread that over a greater width while not affecting the speed of the... projectiles. [Bullets?] That way we're not going vine by vine.
[76 is clearly disappointed to hear this, but of course he’ll make do. It’s not like he really expected fire powers, just had the fleeting thought that it might be nice in the absence of a flamethrower. He makes himself a mental note to examine what kind of weaponry the Moon Knights might have lying around.
What she’s describing, however, doesn’t sound like a bad idea.]
[Ah, some would say they love the smell of desperation in the morning. 76 might not say he's desperate, but whatever it is he's thinking, Midna suspects that she can likely share the sentiment.
Me too, she thinks, though she keeps it to herself.
Fortunately for him, she won't be making use of that prehensile hair. At least, not yet. There's always time for that, though.]
All you have to do is... whatever that thing was you did before. [She supposes it's a bit like a bow and arrow. She saw Link using those, after all. After a moment, she imitates that very action. And probably looks silly doing so. After all, he has a gun. Not a bow. He'll obviously get what she means. ...Right?] The shooting mechanism. I'm going to use waves of Twilight energy to spread your projectiles. We should be able to hit multiple targets and cause a mass recoil.
[This is all in theory, however. Midna doesn't have the ability to control each projectile all at once. If it was one, it would be easier to focus on. All she can do is hope.]
[Becasue that's what it's called--a gun. She's not the first person he's encountered here who seems entirely unfamiliar with this kind of weaponry, so he'll let it slide for now, and file the information away for later. They have better things to do than discuss the ins and outs of the firearm he's currently using. Better to just get to work.
The good news is that he's good at following directions, and nods affirmatively. He recognizes, on some level, that he's putting his trust in a complete stranger, but in this moment he doesn't really have another choice. What could possibly go wrong?]
Ah, gun. That's what it is. I'm familiar with bows and arrows and thought it might be something similar.
[It's not a crazy jump to link the two together. Although she's not certain of archery terminology. It's not like she's ever used one.
Regardless, she dips her head, a bit more respectfully than she normally would be. Maybe it's because she knows she's ultimately using him. She needs him to get forward. There's nothing wrong with working alongside another person, really. It's not like it won't benefit her.
Or him, for that matter.
She decides this is ultimately the best course of action for the time being.]
Shoot when you're prepared.
[She lifts her right hand and as she waits for him, she begins to conjure what appears to be a dark sphere within her hand.]
[She’s not the first person with no real recognition of a gun, so in the heat of battle he’s able to let this slide a little easier. They’ve got a plan, and that’s what matters—he can appreciate a little creative thinking, and the way she’s suggested he apply his weapon to her own amplification powers is smart. She doesn’t need to know what a gun is to know it’ll be useful.
He hopes, anyway. 76 offers a nod, because this is all straightforward enough. He levels his rifle and starts to unload, sending his plasma bullets directly at the next cluster of vines.]
[As he puts his gun to good use, Midna wastes no time in employing the use of what magic she came with. This is actually the first time she's getting to use it to nigh full potential. Prehensile hair aside, which has proven to be less than practical against the vines.
The sphere in her hand grows. Twilight itself is an intriguing kind of element, if one can even call it that. Some might expect it to be particularly dark, but it's more like waves of darkness. It's almost as if it's a kind of magic that doesn't rely on some form of elemental attribute, thus understanding its strength, mass, and capability leaves it enigmatic.
The waves collide with 76's gunfire, but instead of working against it, it cooperates. The hail of bullets rains down upon an array of vines. Many of them strike their intended targets. But nothing is ever perfect and Midna never guaranteed a one hundred percent success rate. All the same, it's effective. The sound of retreating vines scraping against the ground in their fleeing fills the air.
The Twilight Princess looks pleased.]
That worked out better than I thought it would. [She pauses.] Thank you. [No matter how much she wants to take credit for it, she couldn't have done it without him.]
[It's hard not to get distracted by the display of magic, something he's still wrapping his mind around, but if there's one thing he's good at, it's pointing a gun and shooting. What he does know is that this is unlike anything he's ever seen, and it proves to be more than effective. 76 will activate his visor just to make sure he's got any vines lurking in the shadows, but when it seems that they're finished, he regards her with a raised eyebrow.]
You don't need to thank me.
[All he did was pull the trigger.]
Maybe sometime you can explain what that was.
[Not now, of course, because there's still work to be done. He'll file it away for later.]
[She turns her attention onto him as he assesses where they stand in their War against the Vines. He doesn't make mention of any more. An investigative glance and as she raises herself from where she hovers, she realises that it seems they've made an impressive dent. With just the two of them.
It's nice to feel powerful, even in an unfamiliar place.]
And perhaps you can tell me a little more about your... contraption.
[She points a finger or two toward his gun, wearing something of a cheeky grin. Definitely not a bow and an arrow. Regardless, she doesn't seem terribly against the idea of trying to explain the Twilight.
Another time, however. It still isn't exactly the time for pleasantries.]
I didn't see any other vines in immediate vicinity. I'm not sure if you did or not. [She motions to her eyes, indicating his visor. She doesn't know what it does or what it doesn't do, but she doubts very much 76 is making a fashion statement. He seems too down to Earth for that.]
[He says, as if that's supposed to explain everything. 76 is still wrapping his mind around anyone being unfamiliar with this kind of technology. For now, however, they have to keep moving. He activates his visor to scan the area, and it comes up empty.]
To you. [She corrects him quietly, though she wears a rather surprisingly sincere smile. In the way that the Twilight is natural to her, she might not have thought about explaining it to someone outside of the realm. She can't blame him for thinking his gun not so fascinating. There's no reason for him to believe that someone wouldn't know what a gun was.
He continues and she nods.
Midna hovers once more and her elevation rises as she scouts around them. To the best of her sights, however. Honestly, his vision is probably better than hers, too. What is he, anyway? A machine of sorts?]
Understood. I could stand with doing away with a few more vines if necessary. [She grins impishly. It's kind of fun when she's working alongside him.]

I’ll take anything, at this point.
[Even if it involves prehensile hair.]
Just tell me what to do.
